The International Refuse Collection features field recordings of refuse collection in Taiwan and the UK.

Most of the compact audio cassette tapes that have been produced since the format was introduced in 1963 are either already in, or shortly destined for, landfill. To enjoy this cassette at it best play once and then dispose of promptly and safely.

The International Refuse Collection is released on the Start Here audio cassette tape label, which aims to bring discerning listeners the finest in magnetic tape based media archaeological art. The files available for digital download are taken directly from cassette copies, and include the sound of the cassette's leader tape at the beginning and end of each side.
